An Early Spring Adventure

Dear Diary;

What an exciting week I had! I was rather sad that Mama had to return home. However, she will return to visit soon and it is very important that I continue my education here at St. Claire's. I brightened just a bit when the time came for our field trip to the forests and caves a few hours from our school.

It is not quite late enough in Spring for the trees to have all their leaves, but I managed to find several little flowers and budding branches during my free time.
Not to mention wading through little creeks to find mossy vantage points to see the scenerey...
Climbing trees....

Rock climbing....
and exploring small caves in the forest.

At the end of our stay in the forest, we took an amazing cave tour. There was a fountain in the cave that was just lovely,

and tiny bats on the roof of the cave.

As what my teachers call a "budding naturalist" I found the bats to be the most fascinating part of the tour!
But, tomorrow is Monday and back to school and lessons. Ah well, at least I have some memories to last me until the next adventure.
